I help clients to:
1. See that it’s ok to be angry, in fact essential to release their anger, but to learn to do this in ways which do not hurt themselves or anybody else.
2. Read what is going on inside their mind and body in the build up to an angry outburst and calm themselves down.
3. Take responsibility for their actions and reactions and stop blaming their loss of control on others.
4. Identify their ‘Red Zone’ issues and decide in advance not to ‘lose it’ when those ‘Red Zone’ issues come up.
5. Plan in advance what to do instead of ‘losing it’
6. Release their anger in safe ways which don’t hurt themselves or others.
7. Avoid the build up of anger by getting their needs met assertively
8. Understand why they have an explosive temper if they don’t already know why.
9. Resolve anger rooted in past events.
10. Manage stress levels, to be more ‘chilled’.
How do I do these things:
I have designed an Anger Management Programme which is a step by step on line guide to anger management, self control of angry impulses, anger reduction, and conflict related stress reduction. It also has lots of advioce for couples on how to stop arguing and start communicating. Its also available as a printed programme.
